Shay Kun

Born in Israel 1974, Shay Kun is known for his hyper-surrealistic style in which a single object- the hot air balloon- reappears often. Inspired by hand carved hot air balloon toys that his parents both of whom are Holocaust survivors, brought with them to Israel  Kun’s work is acutely aware of visual culture.
